The Patinos team is hardworking, experienced and empathetic.

From our receptionists to our Partners, our approach to helping clients is cohesive across all our offices. We’d like to introduce our expert legal team.

Colin Patino of Patinos Personal Lawyers

Colin Patino

Legal Practitioner Director

After qualifying as a Solicitor in the U.K. and working in London, Colin Patino emigrated to Queensland in 1997, where he worked for a number of CBD law firms and specialised in compensation claims, including acting on behalf of most of the major insurance companies.

Colin launched his practice in 2003. Colin’s knowledge of personal injury law in Queensland and his experience acting on both sides of the fence gives him a greater insight into how Defendants approach claims. He has a wealth of litigation experience and precedent he set in the Supreme Court of Queensland is now being used by larger personal injury firms across the country.

Colin is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the Pan European Organisation of Lawyers. Outside of the office, his passion is football; he is an avid supporter of Everton and coaches an Under-15 team in Brisbane.

Esther Wangatau

Solicitor

Esther brings a high-level understanding of personal injury law to the Patinos team, with a number of years of experience within the legal industry.

When she’s not at work, she loves the footy (up the Broncos!), being a musician and vocalist in the Brisbane Gospel Choir and travelling. Her favourite place to travel to so far has been Cuba, and she also enjoys swimming and spending time with her family.”

Ervin - Solicitor at Patinos

Ervin Hii

Solicitor

Ervin arrives from WorkCover Queensland and adds his experience to our Firm’s understanding and insight in how WorkCover claims are best advanced for clients whilst at the same time enthusiastically embracing all other aspects of personal injury law the Firm pursues.

He is passionate about helping those who are vulnerable and in difficult circumstances and making a difference in their lives.

Outside of work, Ervin enjoys great coffee with his wife, stays active, travels when he can and serves in the Young Adults Committee at his local church.

I want to again thank you and your team for the extraordinary generosity and compassion you demonstrated during the floods. I know... that residents rebuilding from the flooding were touched by this generosity.
